Frank B. Davison Family Bible
Frank B. Davison was a founding father of Texas City. In 1893, Davison moved his family to this little town, joining eight other families with visions of making this little bay town into a formidable industrial port. The Davison Family can claim many firsts as early settlers in Texas City. Frank B. Davison built one of the first houses in Texas City, his daughter, Christine was the first child born in Texas City (called Shoal Point prior to 1893), he was the first Post Master of Texas City, opened the first general store out of his home, and was a founding partner in multiple developmental businesses, such as The Mainland Company. Each generation of the Davison family contributed to the growth and enrichment of Texas City and descendants still live and work in the community.
